Kate Middleton and Prince William

Hey guys, sorry I kind of dropped the ball on posting about the wedding as it was being aired. I was so tired (we had to stay up until six AM, it started at one AM) I barely got through the wedding. But I'm posting now and here is what I thought of the wedding.

I thought Kate Middleton was stunning and her dress perfect. As you've probably heard by now, it was designed by Sarah Burton, who is currently at the head of the McQueen design house.

Kate with her sister and maid of honor, Pippa, who also looked beautiful in another McQueen gown.

Here is Prince William and Prince Harry. Both looking extremely handsome!

Kate Middleton's mother,  Carole Middleton, looking very classy.

Kate Middleton with her father, Michael Middleton.
Kate Middleton's reception dress, another Sarah Burton design.
Here is the absolutely GORGEOUS wedding cake! This is the prettiest wedding cake I think I've ever seen!

In this video you see Kate getting out of the car in her wedding gown, looking more beautiful than ever.

And in this video, you see Kate and William out on the balcony, with the long-anticipated kiss, and a second kiss to boot!

Here is Kate arriving at the altar. Lip readers have reported that Prince Harry turns to Prince William to whisper, "Right, she is here now.". Then when Kate arrives at the altar Prince William turns to her, whispering, "You look beautiful.". And while waiting for the ceremony to begin Prince William murmurs to Kate and her father, "We're supposed to have just a small family affair.". Ha!

This video is part of the service. I think I'm going to re-watch the coverage tomorrow after I get some sleep because there were some parts I missed (mostly the transitions, i.e the traveling back and forth or the singing in the church) because I had to nap if I wanted to have any hope of staying awake through some of the more monumental parts.

It was so amazing to witness something that is such a huge part of history. I was thinking how strange it would be for Kate and William. For them this is their wedding day, yet to the rest of the world it was an event not to be missed, regardless of the fact that we don't personally know the prince and princess. Imagine if you were getting married and it was being aired to, some sources believe, over 3 billion viewers!

If you visit youtube's homepage you will find all the videos pertaining to the wedding. Here is the link:  http://www.youtube.com/theroyalchannel?feature=yoodle . Google too has had it's homepage changed for today to fit the royal wedding. You can see it here: http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en .

Congratulations Kate and William. Myself, and I'm sure, the rest of the world, wish you every happiness!

We miss you.

Princess Diana was the kind of person that words cannot describe. She was wonderfully selfless, gorgeous, and caring, and it's hard to believe she won't be here to celebrate with the rest of the world on her eldest son's wedding day. We love you and miss you.

Following this post will be the coverage of the actual wedding. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you get the opportunity to view the Royal Wedding yourself.
